It was wonderful to be able to take Nate up there for a few days, just the two of us! I have so many happy memories from our trips there as I was growing up. We read our books, played ping pong, took naps, went on walks, watched movies, ate good food, roasted marsh mellows, (my personal favorite part) and just had a great time. The cabin is close to Logan as well so we were able to walk around Utah State campus and reminisce about our good ol' college and dating days. It was wonderful!
On Saturday, for the 4th, we were in Layton. We spend most of the day with my family hanging out at Layton Park. It was a great day and a great weekend!
Nate, Tausha, Maila, Kylee, Arile, Tara and Zac in the corner!
T, Tyler, Jacob, Baily and Emma! Aren't these kids cute?!
People keep telling me that I am small. I am not really sure how to take that. I sure don't feel small. I guess it's better than everyone walking up to me and saying "your huge!! " Right :/
Did anyone else ever feel like this? That you were about to pop!
I have been out of school now for almost 4 weeks. I have been keeping pretty busy doing this and that but still sometimes I feel a little lost. I am used to being so busy all the time and a slower pace has thrown me for a loop. But I am so grateful I will be able to be a stay at home mom. I just have to wait for the baby to come. I feel pretty content at this point that I still have a few months to prepare though, no rush. We'll see how I feel tomorrow :)
We also did a little skiing while we were there!
This is me on a black diamond!!
I thought this was so funny and laughed so hard! Hopefully it will make one of you laugh, or at least smile!
We also went to a movie and a yummy dinner at Mimi's Cafe! It was a wonderful day! And an even more wonderful 2 years! I love being married to Nate! He is such a good husband and my very best friend!
Well, one more update. A few months ago, the Bishop of our ward called me and Nate in to his office. We knew the Young Men's President was moving and since Nate has been working with the 12 and 13 year old boys we knew he was likely to be getting a new calling soon. He talked to both of us individually and then together. He then gave me the shock of my life by asking me to be the new Young Women's president! The thought never crossed my mind that we were there for me to get a new calling! I know this was a calling from Heavenly Father because I don't think the Bishop alone would just think of me for this calling! I am younger than any of the counselors or advisers that work with me! It has been just over a month now that I have been in and I LOVE it! I am not so good at all the little things, the paper work, the meeting, etc. But I am so impressed with the girls and I love being around them! They amaze me! I love being able to teach the lessons on a regular basis too! I think that is one of my only true passions, teaching the Gospel. I truly love the Gospel and teaching it gives me such a natural high!! What a blessing it is to be able to serve others and our Heavenly Father.
Okay, sorry that was a long update. Thanks if you read they whole thing! Although I wouldn't blame you if you didn't!
This was Nates reaction when he tasted the bread. Or at least what he hamed up for the camera!
Here is an update of my belly at 24 weeks. Again, I know it may look small to you but it doesn't feel small to me!
